Philosophy
Evangelical School For The Young Years provides a Christian atmosphere to supplement and enrich the experiences of the home environment and prepare students for elementary school. Through group and individual experiences, children develop positive attitudes toward themselves and their peers. Each child is given the opportunity to explore the mysteries of nature, experiment with materials, communicate with adults and peers, and think creatively to solve problems.

Program
Evangelical School for The Young Years offers an excellent preschool program for children three and four years of age. Children need to be three by September 1st to register for the program.

There are four classrooms devoted to the program. Each of the four rooms has a specific purpose. The children will have the opportunity to visit each room every day of school with their two teachers. The four rooms are art, language development/music, free play and gross motor. The children also have a snack each day.

Highlights of the preschool program:

• There are two teachers per class.
• Class sizes are limited to sixteen for three-year old students and twenty-one for four-year old students.
• Classes rotate through four rooms, each with a specific purpose.
• A Growth Book is developed for each individual student throughout the year and discussed with parents at Parent-Teacher conferences in the spring.
• Goals for the program are aligned with the Illinois State Early Learning Standards.
• Field trips are planned for the four-year old program and an end of the year field trip for the entire school.
• Students have the opportunity to visit the school library once a month.

An afternoon session from 12:30-3:00 will be added to either program if the need arises.

Tuition Rates and Fees for 2011-2012
Five Day Program $1314/year $146/month( x9 payments)
Three Day Program $810/year $90/month (x9 payments)
Two Day Program $540/year $61/month (x9 payments)

A one time supply fee of $55.00 for M-F class; $35.00 for M-W-F classes; $30.00 for T-Th classes


A $40.00 enrollment fee is required with a new student application. The enrollment fee for returning students is $20.00.
